Tagore Songs in Bangladesh

World poet Rabindranath Tagore composed a lot of Tagore Songs. He was a great poet, Novelist and dramatist in India and Bangladesh.Tagore Songs are known as Rabindra -Songit in India and Bangladesh.Rabindra- Songit is very popular in India and Bangladesh.Lots of people address him " Goorudev" in India of Hindu society.Tagore Songs are very pleasant to all kinds of people in Bangladesh. When I hear Rabindra-Songit I feel really happy. Sometimes I feel sorrow and sometimes I feel joy to hear Tagore's songs.Rabindra Songit are written about joy, love, sorrow, pain and suffering.Sometimes they are about nature.There is every feeling of life in Tagore's songs.

Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, writer and author. He was also a great composer.Rabindranath Tagore composed about 2500 songs.His father and elder brothers are also writer and composer of Bengali Dhrupadi Folk Songs and Classical music.Rabindranath  was inspired from his father, elder brothers, family friends and family Sangit teachers to write and compose songs.His family was cultured and they were land lord.He had several state in Bangladesh and India. He was born at Jorasaco in Kolkata city at Tagore family on the 8th of May(25th Boishakh in 1268) in 1961. He divided his composed and written songs into the different circles of life and different angles of vision  in his written " Gitabitan" lyrics book.Such as- love songs,natural seasonal songs,Religious songs, Patriotic songs etc.His songs are natural and not artificial.

He was influenced by Indian Classical Music,Bengali Baul Folk Songs, Dhrupadi folk songs and western Classical Music.So, he used Indian Classical Music,Bengali Baul Folk Songs and Western Music in his composed Tagore Songs.Tagore Songs stand on the basis of Bengali culture and his written Bengali lyrics.Rabidranath Tagore also translated his "Gitanjali" lyrics book in English.So he was awarded a Nobel prize in 1913. He wrote plenty of Bengali poems, novel, drama and songs.He was dead on the 7th August (22th Sraban in1348) in 1941.Various program mes of cultural groups and TV channels celebrate on the occasion of his Birth Day and anniversary of his death  by singing Ta gore's songs, recitation of  Rabindranath's poems, acting his written drama and dancing with Tagore's songs every year in Bangladesh

There are many great popular Tagore singers in India and Bangladesh.Lots of people are practicing Rabindra- Songit singers in Bangladesh. Many of them  are also resourcing  on Tagore Songs.Generally they play Tanpura, Harmonium, Tabla etc.musical instruments with songs.The melodious music of "Rabindra Songit"  gives me much joy. Sleepless night is removed from me to hear Tagore's songs.Tagore songs are very much enjoyable on dark night when we feel lonely. Tagore Songs are going on a rhythmical scale which are not so fast.  National Anthem of Bangladesh , "Amar Sonar Bangla" is a Tagore Song.
