WORLD MUSIC HISTORY
Generally we understand world music means Pop-Rock-Band music.World Music is a great passion to me. Rock-Pop-Band music use various kind of modern musical instruments. Rock-Pop-Band music teams usually play modern musical instruments with songs.Rock-Pop-Band singers show their music with modern musical instruments.
Some of them sing their songs with playing guitar and some of them show their music dancing.Piano has been being used in classical music for many many years .There are many good guitarist in Pop-Band-Rock music teams. Rock-Band and Pop music stand on the basis of western culture and western lyrics. But it is spreading in the whole world like a virus.It is basically stayed in the western countries. Specifically North America is famous for Rock-Pop music because of Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson,Madonna etc. world popular Rock-Pop singers.At present, I like much Rock singer Shakira. She is my passion.Generally, we are Bangladeshi watch their concert shows on Network line and through TV Channels, DVD-CD etc.  Sometimes, their songs touch mind of us and inspire people through audio CD and various TV-Radio channels.Now sex appeal has became a culture in Rock-Band-Pop music concert shows.Somebody enjoy it. But everybody don't enjoy it.I think, many child and many teenager are destroying for it.So, sex appeal should be banned in world music.
Common people confuse music with singing. But song is  a part of music. Music is divided into two parts-vocal and instrumentals.The former includes singing and the latter relates to  tunes produced by instruments.Music  is as old as humanity. Man invented it out of his inborn love for tune. The symphony of birds and sounds of nature influenced the production of his own tunes. Music was popular among old and young .Music is an art and it developed with the growth of human culture and civilization.

During Muslim rule in India the culture of music rouse to the pinnacle  of perfection. Amir Khasru, Saint Baiju and Tansen,-three master musicians of that epoch, song the entire foundation of classical music which later came to be  divided into six ragas and thirty six raginees. These now form the source and grammar of Indo-Bangladeshi music. Besides these, we have folk songs, tunes and dances. At present, there is an increasing tendency to create mixed tunes by blending  together various tunes both classical  and modern. It has made music more charming  and attractive to the common people.Music is capable of rousing in us various feelings and sentiments. It stirs our deepest emotions. A patriotic song inspire vast people to action. Music can draw our tears from our eyes and stirs the stone-hearted man  with sincerity  and sympathy.Music is a great source of amusement.

The system of playing band music during war was used from time immemorial . Music has made the motion picture so attractive.According to Shakespeare love of music is one of the important tests of humanity.Healthy songs and dances can benefit  the mind, the body  and society  in many ways. But lewd songs can lead to the degradation of a whole  generation of young boys and girls.

At present, many Band-Rock-Pop music teams are being build up in Bangladesh. They follow western Rock-Pop-Band music teams. Many organization organize stage programmes with their concert shows. They show their music with playing guitar and dancing like western countries through concert shows.Now it has became a trend for young generation in Bangladesh. They entertain it with joy in various concert shows.Sometimes, I also enjoy their concert shows. But I wouldn't like much their concert shows. I like most Tagore Songs. I also like Classical music and Nazrul Songs. Tagore Songs and Nazrul Songs stand on the basis of Bengali culture and Bengali lyrics. So they attract me more than Band-Rock-Pop music.Tagore songs, Classical music, Nazrul Songs usually touch mind of people in Bangladesh.

Now-a-days, Hindi Rock and Roll music  are  getting  popularity in Bangladesh. Many Rock and Roll singers sing Hindi song at various Birth-day Party, Marriage Party and others Party in Bangladesh. Sometimes, it seems to me is irritation . Western Rock and Roll music are also popular in Bangladesh.Western classical music is enjoyable to me.Orchestra and Piano musical instruments are used in Western Classical Music from hundreds years ago.Tanpura, Harmonium, Tabla etc. musical instruments have been being used in Indian Classical Music for many many years.
